Girls outshined boys in 10+2 result
Doda girls top in Science stream, Kishtwar boy in Commerce, Ramban girl in Arts

Kishtwar, Dec 22: The girls this year once again outshine the boys in 10+2 Jammu and Kashmir Board examination for winter zone, the result of which was declared by the JKBOSE yesterday. Among the overall topper, 19 are the girls. As per the merit list issued by the JKBOSE for Science, Commerce & Arts streams, three Doda girls viz Aqsa Farooq D/O Farooq Ahmed Gattu & Deedawar Farooq, Shavaya D/o Sudesh Kumar & Deeraj Raina & Syrish Kousar D/O of Tanveer Ahmed & Shabnum Ara, all students of Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda grab the first three slots by securing 475, 474 & 471 marks respectively out of 500 marks. Beside the first three slots, the school also beg 4th& 5th positions as well while Rohit Kotwal S/o Ashok Kumar Kotwal & Indra Devi of HSS Boys Kishtwar grab 6th position with 464 marks, 4 students from Ex Servicemen School Thatri also find the place in top 10 positions and Tooba Batool Zarger of HSS Girls Kishtwar manage 10th position with 460 marks. Similarly in Commerce stream, Mudassir Mushtaq Butt S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Butt & Shabina Begum of HSS Boys Kishtwar grab the top position with 422 marks out of 500 marks while Sachin Shan (382) S/O Pritam Singh & Sarla Devi and Younus Abdullah (379) S/O Tanveer Ahmed Mingnoo & Shabnum Begum, both students of HSS Boys Doda grab 2nd and 3rd position respectively. In Arts stream Asyia Kousar D/O Farooq Ahmed Khan & Zainab Begum of HSS Ramban top the merit list with 460 marks while Aqib Ali Qureshi (454) S/O Shiraz Ahmed & Shakeela Akthar of HSS Boys Surankote & Priya Sharma (446) D/O Subash Chander & Poli Devi of HSS Kud Udhampur grab 2nd & 3rd position respectively.
