Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 22: Team Odhisa trails by 36 runs on day one stump against the team Jammu and Kashmir after hosts continued their poor batting form at Ranji Elite C group match at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground, Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir team won the toss and chose batting first with opener Ahmed Bandy sitting on the bench. The new opener made no impact and gave away his wicket on the seventh delivery to Pradhan. Shubham Khajuria was next to go with both openers scoring golden duck.
Ian Dev Singh too did not last and joined the openers on the score of 7 runs. Team Jammu and Kashmir lost four wickets on the score of 7 runs with Captain Parveez Rasool scoring golden duck making hat trick of ducks on day first.
Irfan Pathan and Owais Amin Shah showed some resistant but once Pathan's wicket was taken by Dhiraj Singh half the team were out under over 65 runs. With well experienced Pathan in the hut, team Jammu and Kashmir was in deep slumber.
Owais was lead run scorer with 44 runs in 97 balls. Pathan and Owais managed to bring some partnership. Had not tail ender's batted like top order batsman's, J&K team would have been bundled out under double figure score.
Four batsmen scored in double figures, two of them were bowlers and rest of 7 players added just 30 runs in the tally.
Team Odhisa finished the day on 91 for the just lost of 1 wicket. Anurang Sarangi and Debasish Samantray are on the crease with team Odhisa on good position. Suryakant Pradhan bowled well for touring team. He grabbed three wickets.
On day 2 team Odhisa will look forward to score big and give hosts some tough time on the pitch. While team Jammu and Kashmir will try to bundle out opponents early to win the match and earn crucial points in the table.
