10 bovines rescued, 4 vehicles seized

Samba, Dec 22: Escalating its drive against bovine smuggling and yet in another attempt of breaking down the nexus of Bovine smugglers, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba once again succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba by rescuing 10 bovines and seizing 04 vehicles which were being utilized for the transportation of bovines. Police spokesman said that a police party of police post Rakh Amb Talli headed by SI Deepak Bharti-incharge police post Rakh Amb Talli and other Police Party led by Inspector Chanchal Singh-SHO Samba, under the supervision of Deepak Digra-DySP. Hqrs Samba during surprise vehicle checking naka at Border road Chak Dayala, Samba intercepted three Tata Mobile Mahindra vehicles bearing Registration numbers JK02AX-5188, JK02BX-5160, PB08BU-9242 and a Alto car bearing Registration number JK08G-6353 which was escorting the bovine smugglers, coming via Border Road Samba for their safe passage. "During checking of the vehicles 10 cattle were found laden in them and all of them were rescued and shifted to safer place while police seized all the vehicles including escorting Alto Car used for transporting the bovines without any permission", said spokesman. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 328/2018 under section 188 of RPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at Samba police station and investigation started.
