Roots-the Montessori house celebrated annual day

Jammu, Dec 22: The students of Roots-the Montessori house today celebrated annual day by celebrating the diversity of India through its festivals.
The classes were decorated beautifully depicting the Christmas, Diwali, Dussehra, Eid, Baisakhi and Gurupurab festivals. Children narrated 'Nativity story' and 'Diwali story' in a classroom situation against the backdrop of the festivals.
The children highlighted the importance of national festivals through slogans of freedom fighters thereby celebrating the struggle resulting in present day free India. The children then performed on stage show with children's dancing to the Christmas carol "We wish you a merry Christmas" followed by the Diwali story enactment.
The alumni of the school were felicitated with certificates by Kanta Mahajan, Vice Chairman, KC Public School.
The tiny tots performed the dance medley and narrated stories integrating the spirit of different festivals. The young children further displayed their talent in music by playing the keyboard. The taekwondo champions demonstrated their skills and were awarded certificates for their achievements.
Madhu Kuthiala consultant of the school from Delhi appraised the parents about the integration of smart classes and storytelling in school curriculum and collaboration with English for life ' to hone the speaking skills of the tiny tots.
