| Locals of Kasyot village accuse admin of being in slumber | | | M S Nazki

POONCH, Dec 22: Notwithstanding the tall claims of district administration of developmental works in Poonch district the locals of Kasyot Village in Harmutta area of Gursai have alleged that their village has been neglected on the development front as they are craving for even basic amenities, sources said here today.
They said that the village which is a panchayat too and has eleven wards there has been no regular water supply at all since a quite long time adding that the authorities are in slumber on the issue.
The village which is situated on a hill top has worst road connectively too.
Our pleas fall on deaf ears said panches Tariq Khan Nisar Ahmed and Toufail Shah adding they have visited several times the office of AE PHE sub division Mendhar and brought the water shortage issue in the village before him but no heed has been paid to the pleas. They rued the PDD also for their lackadaisical approach as main supply lines to the area were tied with trees which was an open threat to the lives of the people.
They in an appeal to district authorities have urged that their issues of water supply, road connectivity and electricity be addressed soon otherwise the people of all the eleven wards of the Kasyot panchayat will come on road and launch an agitation. |
