| Bodies of seven labourers killed in Uttrakhand landslide, airlifted from Jammu to Uri Jammu, | | |
The bodies of seven labourers who were killed in a landslide in Uttrakhand on Sunday reached here and were airlifted to their native places in Uri area of Kashmir. The seven bodies were shifted to Government Medical College Jammu this morning for further action. "They (deceased) were working along the roadside and suddenly a big boulder fell on them and they got buried under it and died on the spot," a labourer from Uri, who was an eyewitness to the tragedy, here said on reaching to hospital. Meanwhile Principal GMC Dr Sunanda said that before being airlifted, embalming of bodies was done. "Our team of doctors from the anatomy wing was ready when we were informed about the bodies reaching Jammu and there is a set procedure of embalming of bodies before being airlifted," said the Principal
