NAAC Peer Team visits Govt College for Women Parade

JAMMU, Dec 23: NAAC Peer Team visited the Govt College for Women Parade Ground for accreditation (3rd cycle) comprising of Prof. Mohammad Akbar Ali Khan former vice chancellor from Telangana University as chairperson, Prof. Madhurima professor of physics in Central University Tamil Nadu as member coordinator and Prof. Anuradha Jain, Principal Vivekananda college of professional studies, New Delhi as a member.
On the first day the Peer team interacted with the principal and the Principal highlighted the achievements of the college as per the criterion report and qualitative matrix given in the SSR report. The Peer team had an interaction with the IQAC team of the college, verified its documents and inquired about the activities of IQAC.
The Peer team visited the different departments of the college and the HOD's presented the achievements of respective department through the presentation. The team also visited the supporting facilities of college and even interacted with the students.
The members of Peer team also had an interaction with the Directors of Higher Education, members of governing body, academic council registrar of university and external members of IQAC.
On the second day the team visited the hostel and other supporting facilities of the college and had a detailed discussion with the non teaching staff and also visited the office in the evening.
.The whole process of accreditation was carried out by the college IQAC and NAAC Steering committee with Dr. Neraj Kumar as coordinator and other members including Dr. Pragya Khana, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal, Dr. Sonia Khajuria, Dr. Archana Gupta, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Dr. Shivani Suri and Dr. Shabnam Ara.
In the exit meet, Principal of the college Dr. Hemala Aggrawal welcomed the Peer team committee then the chairperson of Peer team Prof. Moham.
Ali Khan presented the report giving various suggestions and recommendations. Prof Madhurima and Prof Anuradha Jain highlighted the achievements of the college. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Neraj Kumar coordinator of IQAC.
