Lecturers, invigilators facilitate cheating in Polytechnic College Anantnag

Anantnag, Dec 31: An official of Government Polytechnic College Anantnag on Monday claimed that some lecturers and invigilators were facilitating cheating in exams.
Masroor Afzal, identifying himself a guest lecturer of Anantnag Polytechinic College, in a video has claimed that lecturers and invigilators were allowing some students to use smartphones and internet.
"Students are being allowed to use Google during examination and today, they harassed me beacuse i resisted," Masroor said in the video.
Detailing the incident, Masroor said that at he was asked to allow the students to cheat and when he refused to oblige, his colleagues asked him to leave the hall.
"I was twice asked to leave the hall and when i refused, my colleague (Showket Ahmad) started shifting students to his hall" he claimed.
Masroor Afzal said that he was finally summoned by the Principal of the College.
Lecturer named in the video wasn't available for a comment, however Principal Firdous Ahmad told that the person in the video wasn't anyway affiliated with college and that all his claims were baseless.
"He isn't our guest lecturer neither was assigned any exam duty today on 31st of December," he said.
He said that action against the said person will be initiated as per law and another lecturer who was named in the video will file a defamation case against him.
"Process of Examination is going on smoothly" he added.
