Arts & Emporium work gets affected as FA enjoys Dubai sojourn
12/31/2018 11:02:22 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 31: Despite government directive to the officials not to leave the state without prior permission, the Financial Advisor of Arts and Emporium is in Dubai without getting the leave sanctioned from the concerned authorities.
In Kashmir, the District Development Commissioners and Heads of departments have been directed to seek proper permission before proceeding to Jammu to attend any function or meeting. These officers have been told to attend meetings being held in Jammu through video conferencing instead going to winter capital. "These officials have been directed not to come unnecessarily to Jammu and attend the meetings through video conference," an official posted at the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir said.
However, the Financial Advisor of Arts and Emporium left for Dubai few days before.
"His leave as on today has not been sanctioned but he left for Dubai," an official of Finance Department said.
The official said that work has been halted as the concerned official is not available here. "All bills of artisans are pending. These cannot be sanctioned without approval from the Financial Advisor," the official said.
One of the artisans said that he has been visiting the Arts and Emporium office Jammu for the last many days. "But the Financial Advisor is not available there. Now we got to know that he has gone to Dubai on personal visit," the artisan said, wishing not to be named. "Some artisans have purchased and also sold the goods but the payment has not been released," he added.
The official said that they have been told that payment cannot be released till he returns from Dubai.
A source said that Vigilance Department has already registered a case against him when he was in the technical Education Department. "No action has been taken against him. He has some political backing due to which no action has been taken against him," the source said.
