One way traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway
1/6/2019 10:27:13 PM

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 6: One way traffic was allowed on Sunday from Jammu to Srinagar on the National Highway, after snowfall had caused disturbances in the road connectivity.
As per the officials, one-way traffic was thrown open for both Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) subject to fair weather and road condition.
However, due to the condition of the road no vehicle will be allowed to move on after the cut-off hours.
Snowfall that started on Friday and the following night had cut-off several highways and district roads, as the administration continued to clear snow off the roads. In other parts of the Valley, the Mughal road and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumari road continued to be closed due to heavy snow.
"It is advised for the commuters not to travel during night hours," said an official.
