Early Times Report

AITHEM (NAGROTA), Jan 12: National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana on Saturday appreciated the deep yearning among people to see Nagrota as a progressive, developed and economically emancipated model assembly constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, saying he has been tirelessly and single-mindedly working towards realizing this vision. "It is only because of the grit and determination of the people that is witnessing the constituency achieving milestones, one after another, even if entails voluntary effort for strengthening public services", Rana said while throwing two interior roads from Pangal to Ladgan and Aithem to Sailjagir open for vehicular traffic.
The roads are result of the voluntary effort put in by the locals of the area with logistical support provided by Devender Singh Rana, as the area lacked connectivity. Braving the chill, men and machinery worked till late under the supervision of the former MLA to ensure the first vehicle to ply on the road. Rana said the urge of the people has all along inspired him for the past over nine years to have the wheels of development chugging by coordinating and persuading all the developmental agencies and top echelons of the government. He said constant monitoring of various schemes has, by and large, manifested in time bound completion of various projects and implementation of various schemes to the satisfaction of the people. About the interior roads from Pangal to Ladgan and Aithem to Sailjagir, the former MLA said these will help in smooth mobility of farm produce and movement of commuters. He expressed his gratitude to the people for their voluntary effort, saying such a spirit is uncommon. "This community spirit distinguishes the people and speaks volumes about their longing for rural development", he said, adding that this will strengthen his resolve to work for the overall development of the entire constituency.
