Jammu, Feb 18: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua organized two day long "District level Sports Tournament" on theme "No Drugs - No Rash Driving" at Govt. High School, Guhra Mundian.
In the tournament, volley ball, Kabaddi, Long jump, 100 mtr and 400 mtr race competitions organized. 16 teams participated in Volley ball competition and 6 teams in kabaddi.
In Kabaddi, in final match Pathwal Youth Club beat Mangloor Youth Club by 39: 27 points and won the Trophy and cash Prize Rs.1500/=
In Volleyball in 1st Semi-final Lower Mela team defeated Pathwal Team by 3-1 Sets and in 2nd Semi final Hiranagar More Club beat Upper Mela team by 3-0 sets and in the final Hiranagar More team defeated Lower Mela in very tough competition by 25:23, 15:25, 25:21,19:25 20:19 and won the trophy and cash prize Rs. 1500. In Long Jump Abhishek stand 1st and Jonny Sharma 2nd and Tony Sharma 3rd position.
In 100 Mtr Race, Abhishek Sharma stand 1st, Prince Sharma Sharma 2nd and Ravinder Singh 3rd positions. In 400 Mtr Race, Abhished Sharma 1st, Ravinder Singh 2nd and Sourab Sharma 3rd Position.
Ravinder Singh, KPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Boarder Area was Chief Guest on the occasion and he distributed trophies and cash prizes to the winner. In this address, he exhorts the Youth to channelize their Youthful energy in Spots activities and national building.
Som Datt Zard, Briefed about that NYK organized 08 Block Level Sports Tournament and one District Level Tournament in which over 200 youth given opportunity to participate in sports activities. |
