| Food Safety Deptt collects flour, rice samples from Kishtwar store | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Mar 18: The team of Food Safety Department headed by Designated Officer Assistant Controller Food Shabir Ahmed Faridy conducted the surprise visit of Kishtwar Main Ration Store of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department and collected the samples of flour and rice for analysis. Speaking on the occasion, Shabir Ahmed said that this is the routine process of collecting the samples and the market checking with an aim to provide better hygiene and wholesome food to the people. He said that in case they found any hygiene food items including vegetables, fruits, milk and other edible articles whatever on sale in the market, same had been destroyed on spot while in many case, huge penalty has been imposed by adjucating Officer (ADC) Kishtwar on various Shopkeepers including those who sell unbranded products. The officer urged upon the people to come forward with complaints in case somebody is selling substandard or unhygienic material in the market so that necessary action could be intiated against them. The other members of the team include FSO Kishtwar Rajni Devi, FSO Dachhan Sajjad Ahmed Gagroo, FSO Padder Prithpal Singh and other subordinate staff of the department. |
