| National Deworming Day observed in Doda | | | | Doda, Mar 20: In order to celebrate and observance of the National Deworming Day, the District Health Society Doda under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shah organized a series of programme at AIER Public School Dod, Royal Academy Islamia High School Ghat (Doda), Educational Institutions and Anganwadi Centres of the District on Wednesday. The main function in this regard was held at AIER School Doda under the chairmanship of Dy CMO Doda Dr Rakesh Bhagat. Speaking on the occasion, Dy CMO Doda Dr Bhagat said that deworming is done to cure the infected children and also put an end to multiple other causes like anaemia, mental impairment, malnourishment etc which stimulates worm infections, adding that these conditions are serious threat to the kids and can be ruinous for the education and health of the kids. Similar kind of programme was also held at Royal Academy Islamia High School Ghat under the chairmanship of BMO Ghat Dr Mohammad Fareed Bhat. Speaking on the occasion, BMO Ghat Dr Mohammad Fareed Bhat said that the National Deworming Day is to be observed with an objective to free children from worm infections and to deworm them from 1-19 years at Schools and Anganwadi Centres. |
