Chemist/Coordinator Drug de-addiction shot dead in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Mar 30: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a chemist in his shop from point blank range in busy market in Tashqind chowk, near hotel Dawat that is just half kilometer away from police station Baramulla.
Eyewitness said that, today afternoon panic gripped the whole market, after a chemist was shot dead in his own shop at around 4:45 pm.
The assailants barged into the shop of the victim and pumped five bullets in his head and killed him on spot, however he was moved to nearby Sub District Hospital Baramulla, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, the eyewitness said.
The deceased was identified as Ajumand Majeed Bhat (35) alias Raju Mistry S/O Late Abdul Majeed Bhat R/O Usmanabad Colony, Jetty Khowbagh of Baramulla district.
Local shopkeepers said that the deceased was running a chemist shop namely Hadif Medicate in Baramulla chowk near Dawat Hotel that is just half kilometer away from Police Station Baramulla.
The deceased has left behind two sons and wife; he was the younger brother of Dr Azhar Majeed Bhat. After this incident, a joint team of police and army cordon of the whole area to nab the assailants, police has registered a case in this regard and started investigations further. Local residents of Jetty area said that, the deceased was running a chemist shop and he was also a coordinator at drug de-addiction and Counseling center (ADS) Baramulla.
However yesterday, the deceased had post on his Facebook wall that now a days, Drug addiction is a very severe problem around the whole world.
When you're addicted, you may not be able to control your drug use and you may continue using the drug despite the harm, it causes. Drug addiction can cause an intense craving for the drug.
You may want to quit, but most people find they can't do it on their own. Not everyone who uses drugs becomes addicted, but for many what starts as casual use, leads to drug addiction.
In this regard Drug de addiction center Baramulla organizes Seminar/Workshop in the office chamber of president Sumo stand Association Baramulla in which more than 60 members of the association attended the seminar, reads on his Facebook wall.
