Red Cross distributes more than Rs 34 lakh as cash assistance

Jammu, Mar 30: To help the sick and poor people to the maximum in saving their precious lives, the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region is providing financial assistance to those poor patients who are suffering from different ailments.
Rs 34,24,654 lakh has already been distributed during the current one year i.e. between February, 2018 to February, 2019.
Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region informed that the Society is putting its best efforts with the guidance and kind support of Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu and the Executive Committee of the Regional Branch to reach out to the unreached and mitigate the sufferings of the poor members of public.
The Red Cross seek the support and cooperation of all those Philanthropist who wish to be associated or want to contribute in the adoption of patients for their treatment. The Society also makes an appeal to the Heads of all Government Organizations/Industrial Houses, Educational Institutions and Private concerns as well as the members of public to donate generously and also promote the sale of Raffle Draw Tickets; draw of which will be taken out on April 21. Each raffle draw ticket costs Rs 25 only with good amount of prizes and are available in Red Cross Office, Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
