KATHUA, May 14: Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs inspected various businesses especially meat and chicken shops and booked 24 violators against different violations imposing fine of Rs. 8600.
AD FCS & CA, T P Singh asked all the shopkeepers, meat sellers, chicken shops owner, Karyana shops, Vegetable shops and Sweet Shops etc. to display approved rate lists in their respective establishments failing which strict action under Essential Commo-dity Act shall be initiated against erring shopkeepers.
The inspecting squad also advised Halwais, Dhaba Owners and Hoteliers not to use domestic LPG for commercial purpose, failing which strict action under LPG act shall be initiated against them. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal directed the AD, FCS & CA to conduct such market inspections on regular basis. |
