| Police seize medical shops for selling contraband drugs to youth | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: In continuation to the drive against menace of drug, Police Station RS Pura seized a medical shop for selling contraband drugs to the youth of area till further order.
According to police, on Tuesday Police approached to the Office of the Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization Muthi, Jammu through proper channel for the closure of Medical Shop run by Ravinder Kumar alias ladi situated near Gandhi Park RS Pura due to the reason that the said Ravinder Kumar is Indulged in illegal selling of drugs/psychotropic substances to the young generation of the area at higher cost. He is also encouraging use of drug in the area and spoiling lives of young generation.
It is pertinent to mentioned here that in the year 2017, case FIR No.190/2017 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act stand registered against the said Ravinder Kumar and challaned of the case produced before the Court.
Recently the said Ravinder Kumar booked under preventive measure 110 CrPC and produced before the EMIC RS Pura, where the EMIC RS Pura ordered to lodge said Ravinder Kumar in Jail for 10 days wef 31.01.2019 to 09.02.2019.
Keeping in view the above-mentioned facts, Police station RS Pura approached the Office of the Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization and legal action has been taken by the Office of the Organization Muthi, Jammu against the said defaulter drug seller and the said drug shop is closed till further order. |
