DDC reviews progress on PDD schemes

UDHAMPUR, May 14: District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, today chaired a meeting with officers of Power Development Department to review progress on power sector schemes besides assessing the status of ongoing development works taken up by the department in the district under different schemes.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, SE Project Circle -II, A.K Chibber, SE Circle -III Bavinder Kundal, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, DFO Udhampur, Shavaita Jandial, Executive Engineers, besides field functionaries and contractors were present in the meeting. Executive Engineer, Udhampur Rajinder Gupta gave brief about the targets and achievements under various schemes under taken in PDD sector in the district.
Detailed discussion was held on various issues including status and timeline for completion of underground cabling project patnitop, Upcoming 33 KVA receiving station at Kud , Majalta, Kotla, Sangote, Barmeen, Patnitop, Status of 11KVA distribution Patnitop Sangote line, Augmentation projects of Devika, Dhar road, Johnu, Battal, Ramnagar, Jakhani, Alignment issue with National highway from Rathian to Jakhani regarding 33 KV lines, Status of languishing projects approved and in pipeline with current execution level timeline for completion, Maintenance of PDC road from pakhali to Chenani, Forest issues involved in various PDD projects, Protection of town destabilized due to earth cutting by Gammon of 220 KPTL & 120 KV CSTL, Shifting of towers coming in the widening of NHAI, expediting the progress of IPDS & DDUGJY etc.
DDC stressed upon the concerned authorities to speed up the pace of work on the power projects taken up in the district for timely completion.
