| JMC Mayor conducts extensive tour of Ward No 57 | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, May 14: Continuing the drive to provide basic facilities to the people of Jammu city Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 14/05/2019 conducted the tour in the area of ward no. 57 i.e Digiana, Model town Gangyal Extn Trikuta Nagar etc. Officers of various sections of JMC were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour of ward no.57. A large number of inhabitants of said ward were present during the tour and put forth their demands which include deployment of more SKC's in their ward, proper fogging & spray during the ongoing season to prevent mosquitoes, proper disilting of drains/nallahs, installation of street lights in the area, lifting of stray animals/dogs on routine basis. The main problem being faced by the people was that one person has blocked the nallah flowing through extn trikuta nagar of ward no.57 by cemented wall due to which flow of water has been blocked and there is every possibility of water being overflow and enter in their houses during the coming rainy season. Hon'ble Mayor assured the people present there that issue regarding this will be sort out at an earliest and appeal the general public not to throw polythene, garbage filth etc in the public drain, Nallahs flowing through their locality and cooperate with JMC in making Jammu city neat, Clean& green. |
