Jammu, June 2: KD Hospital Amritsar successfully saved a life of a man from Rajouri district of J&K in a comatose state when he has admitted in the hospital.
According to press release issued by the hospital, Mohammed Anwar (56), resident of Rajouri , Jammu, was admitted by the hospital in a comatose state with a lot of difficulty in breathing and non responding.
He was brought in an unconscious state from Jammu, his condition was extremely serious. The chances of survival was approximately five percent. The breathing was very bad and blood pressure had shot upto 200/ 110 mm Hg. Scan done showed a large brain haemorrhage.
The blood had also gone into ventricles of brain (structures which contain brains fluid) complicating the whole picture. Urgent surgery was taken up by Dr Dushyant Thaman and his team.
The surgery lasted 4 hours as the procedure was complicated. After a long period of Neuro critical care the patient gradually made excellent recovery. Dr Dushyant Thaman pressed on the need for good control of blood pressure, timely intake of medical drugs, weight control, and if need be time bound surgical interventions.
The GOLDEN period of surgical intervention should not be lost . It is precious and life saving. |
