New Delhi, June 6: While the pillars of terrorism across the country have shaken after Amit Shah took over as ther Union Home Minister, terror modules in the Jammu and Kashmir continue to remain active as a video surfaced on Thursday showing a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative radicalising people in a mosque in the Valley.
The video that went viral showed two Lashkar commanders - one wearing a mask and the other brandishing a pistol - inside a mosque in Kulgam. Sermons were being delivered inside the mosques to allegedly establish a caliphate. The terrorists raised slogans of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), trying to indoctrinate youths and raise donations, claiming that "it is required for the azadi of Kashmir" stating that the outfit is facing a "cash crunch".
The LeT operatives were heard telling youngsters that they have to fight for the "azadi of Kashmir", and also spoke about Lashkar's relationship with Pakistan.
Incidentally, reports emerged a day ago that LeT chief and Jammat-ud-Dawa (JuD) leader Hafiz Saeed was not allowed to lead the prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Lahore's famous Gaddafi Stadium by Pakistani authorities. Eventually, Saeed had to offer prayers at a local mosque near his house in Jauhar Town.
Saeed, who heads the United Nations-designated terrorist organisation JuD, was informed by an official of the Punjab government in advance that he would not be allowed to lead the prayers at the stadium. He was also told that if he goes ahead with his plan, the government might arrest him.
