DSSP Welcome GOI Initiative for Delimitation in J&K: Ch Lal Singh
6/6/2019 10:56:05 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 6: Dogra Swabhimaan Sangahtan party Chairman and Former Cabinet Minister and MP Ch. Lal Singh expressed gratitude on behalf of the party to the GOI especially to the Home Minister for his keen interest to end the perpetual discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh in his move to constitute Delimitation Commission to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the state.
While addressing press conference at his of residence, Ch. Lal Singh also appreciated Hon'ble Governor, who took up the matter with GOI, which DSSP has put up before him in a party delegation meeting where the Vision of DSSP comprised of 25 points, was placed before him. He further said that though it should have been resolved in the previous term of the NDA but still we are grateful that a light is becoming visible in the dark tunnel of discrimination with Jammu.
He also appealed to the HM that it's high time to address the pain and agony of a sizeable population uprooted from Mirpur, Poonch, Muzafrabad during partition and settled in Jammu province and leading a life of second class citizens in their own country till date as refugees without any political representation. It was under a deep rooted conspiracy and an evil design that Former CM Late Sheikh Abdhula opened only one seat of Mendhar to promote his communal agenda to divide Dogras but deliberately ignored the other 6 number of seats whose population was also there in other parts of Jammu.
My party DSSP is of the considered opinion that GOI should immediately open six seats at the pattern of Mendhar, which is the long pending demand of the people of Jammu, and these should also be taken into the preview of the said Delimitation Commission to give real justice to the people of Jammu. However, DSSP shall continue to fight for the separate PSC and SSRB to save the future of the young generation of Jammu. In addition to this, two seats of Kashmiri Pandits who have been forced to migrate from Kashmir to Jammu under a conspiracy, may also be given to Jammu to ensure political representation to this community as long as they are in Jammu or till their safe return in the valley. Ex MLA Kanta Andotra, General Sec. Dr Haridutt Shishu, Vice President Sh. KD Singh, Kuljeet Jamwal, Dr. Kamal Saini (Retd IGP), Bhupinder Singh, Narender Bhau, Dr HR Sharma, Prof Ashok Gupta, S. Balbir Singh also attended the press conference.
