Campaign on 'Ageing with Dignity' from June 10

UDHAMPUR, June 6: In order to devise strategy for observing intensive week long awareness campaign on "Ageing with Dignity" commencing from June 10 by the District Legal Service Authority Udhampur, a meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner; Udhampur, Ashok Kumar.
Secretary District Legal Service Authority, Udhampur Sandeep Kour, President Municipal Council, Udhampur Dr. Yogeshwar Gupta, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Neelam Khajuria, ARTO, Rachna Sharma, District Information Officer, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, DSWO, Sana Khan, Chief Education Officer, Daljeet Singh other officers different departments besides prominent citizens attended the meeting.
The ADDC informed that the main objective of organizing this event is to sensitize the people, especially the elderly persons about their legal rights.
Secretary DLSA apprised that the weeklong programmes to be carried out during awareness campaign for the elderly persons at various places in the district. The activities like interaction, legal aid awareness, healthcare, cultural programme and experience sharing with elderly persons to be organized.
