Two students of Mother India Sr. Sec. School participate in "National Youth Summit-2019"

Jammu, June 6: Two Students of Mother India Sr. Sec. School, R. S. Pura participated in a three days "National Youth Summit-2019" organised by "Special Olympics Bharat" at Amity University, Noida from 28 May to 30 May.
The Summit was organised o address the need and importance of creating an inclusive society for all. Over 250 youth participated from 22 states in the summit that was led by a resource team comprising leaders from the Special Olympics International, Special Olympics Asia Pacific, Amity University UP Noida and Special Olympics Bharat.
Akriti Sharma, represented the school as School Coordinator and Rabjot Singh represented as Youth Leader.
Out of 250 students, 15 were selected as Members, National Youth Council 2019 and Rabjot Singh of Mother India Sr. Sec. School was one of the selected 15 students.
In the Category of Unified Champion Schools, Mother India Sr. Sec School, R. S. Pura won the Unified Champion Schools Distinction Award on the basis of skills of coordination shown by Akriti Sharma.
After returning from the event Akriti Sharma and Rabjot Singh handed over the Certificate of Unified Champion School to the Principal of the School, Mrs. Sonia Tohra.
Mrs. Sonia Tohra congratulated both the students for their excelent skills shown in the summit and wished that the they will work with same spirit for the special children.
She also expressed her thanks to the President, Special Olympics Bharat, J&K Chapter, Dr. Ashwani Jojra, for giving oppurtunity to the school to represent Jammu and Kashmir in National Youth Summit 2019.
