| DDC flags off Taekwondo team | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, June 6: Poonch Taekwondo players flagged off by Rahul Yadav District Development Commissioner, Sandhya Gupta Chairperson Women Club Meri Pehchan also gave her good wishes to selected students. Sandhya Gupta also promoted the student of Poonch for 2nd India Open International Taekwondo Olympic Ranking Championship. The event is going to be held at Vijay Kotla Reddy Bhaskar Stadium, Hyderabad , Telangana from 11th to 16th June, 2019. The team was comprised of 55 members from whole state out of which 4 members are from Poonch District.
Rahul Yadav DDC Poonch congratulated Poonch District Taekwondo Association and all the selected players from Poonch District. Speaking on the occasion he extended his good wishes to the players and said that he was hopeful that the kids will won medals for country as well as for state.
Later Rajinder Singh chairman Warrior Taekwondo Club Poonch said that this is a proud moment for Poonch district that 4 players are going to participate in G1 international Taekwondo championship in which many world class players represent their countries and the medal winners from India in this championship will chance to represent India at World Taekwondo Championship held at Jordan (Senior) Uzbekistan (Cadet).
