Police registered case in objectionable video goes viral

Jammu, June 7th: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has registered a case after a sensitive video of a doctor and her patients went viral on social media while a special investigation team has also been constituted to probe the matter.


Matter came to fore when a local girl lodged her complaint before police stating that a video has become viral on social media platforms which was filmed a long time ago when she went for a routine medical checkup from a doctor in Rajouri district hospital.

Complainant also termed the video as forged and edited and said that the content shown in the video is edited aims at outraging the modesty of a woman.

Taking note of the complaint, Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a formal case under relevant sections of law in Rajouri police station.

Senior superintendent of police, Yougal Manhas said that soon after registration of FIR, a special investigation team has been constituted which will be headed by DySP PC (Operations) Rajouri, Pranav Mahajan and team has been asked to conduct speedy probe into the matter.

SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas said that during the initial investigation, it has come to fore that video has been filmed inside the clinic of a doctor in Rajouri district.

Involvement of an insider in filming the video is suspected, SSP further said.

SSP Yougal Manhas also added that after initial investigation, it has come to fore that some government officials posted in district hospital Rajouri, who include four doctors, spread this video on social media platforms.

Besides, the video has also been shared by some people in whats app groups of Manjakote, Darhal and Rajouri.

Accused who filmed the video and those who spread this video, especially some officials and four doctors of District Rajouri hospital now GMC will be dealt strictly under law in the case which has been registered for outraging the modesty of a woman and involves severe punishment , SSP added
