| Awareness programme held for drivers, cleaners, matador agents | | | Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, June 7: SDPO Akhnoor- DySP Ajay Sharma, and SHO PS Akhnoor - Insp Sanjeev Sharma, held a meeting/ awareness programme with all drivers, cleaners and matador agents in Akhnoor town.
They were educated about their duties as drivers and as citizens. They were urged to refrain from drinking and driving. They were warned against driving under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances and were told that proceedings for cancellation of license will be carried out against erring drivers in addition to other legal action.
They were urged to not indulge in overspeeding, over loading, engaging in road race. They were also advised to ensure that first aid kits are in place and passengers are treating with consideration. They were further requested to keep an eye on drug addicts traveling in their vehicles specially the young students as they transport them daily from interior areas to town and back. They were requested to be law abiding. |
