Union HM asked to act tough

Early Times Report

JAMMU, June 7: Despite taking many steps the Government has failed to control militancy in Valley which is getting revived day by day.
A cording to sources supported from across the border militants are regrouping in Kashmir Valley as well as Kishtwar district of Jammu region.
Though the Government has tightened it's noose on terrorists, they still manage to regroup in three districts of South Kashmir including Shopisn, Pulwama and Kulgam besides the Kishtwar district in Jammu region. In Kashmir Valley militants get local support and people in three districts provide safe passage to them by resorting to stone pelting on security forces to engage them till militants hiding in villages manage to escape, sources said. The authorities have not succeeded fully in cutting the public support to terrorists in the three districts which are breeding ground of terrorists.
Sources said to threaten the people militants have now started killing of common masses to show that they still rule the roost in some pockets of South Kashmir.
Yesterday they killed a woman in Pulwama by targeting the couple.
The recent killings in Kishtwar district is also an indication in this regard where Parihar brothers were killed by terrorists in last November followed by killing of RSS leader and his PSO recently. Even there are reports of surfacing of terrorists in higher reaches of Kishtwar bordering Kashmir, sources said. Sources said after attacking their Target in Kishtwar militants manage to take refuge in jungles in higher reaches or cross to Kashmir Valley. The failure of Government to arrest the killers of Parihar brothers, RSS leader and his PSO is also a cause of concern and one of the great security lapses.
Sources said the nationalist forces in the State while showing their concern have urged Union Home Minister to take a tough stand in rooting out terror from the State before they will do any more catastrophy.
