Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Arjun Dev Ji observed at Domana

Jammu, June 7: The "Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji was observed by the Sikh community here today. The main function was organized by the Management Committee of Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjun dev ji, Akhnoor road, Domana under the patronage of Sant Tejwant Singh, Chairman Sant Pura Dana Charitable Trust.
A large number of devotees from all over Jammu attended the programme. Besides local Ragis like Bhai Sahib Bhai Ravinder Singh ji, Bhai Sahib Bhai Parvinder Singh & Ragi Jatha of Bhai Kulvinder Singh ji some prominent Ragis from out side the State who participated are Bhai Sahjib Bhai Gurnam Singh ji from Delhi, Dadi Jhatha of Bhai Amrik Singh from Pathankot participated in the Shaheedi Divas and recited Shabad kirtan.
On this occasion Childrens from SGSD International School Domana recited Gurbani, Shabad Kirtan and poems related to the martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjun Dev ji.
Prominent political and social personalities who attended the function, they included Jugal Kishore M P Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC, S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, Sh Sukhnandan Choudhary Ex Minister, Ajay Sadotra Ex Minister, S. Balvinder Singh RTI & Social activist S. Avtar Singh Khalsa, S. Sharanjit Singh, S. Harjinder Singh Raina, Jathedar Mohinder Singh, S. Balbir Singh.S. Amarjit Singh Member SGSD School.
S . T S Wazir Chairmqan State Gurudwara Parbandhak Board, Sh kavinder Gupta former deputy Chief minister & S Charanjit Singh Khalsa MLC addressed the devotees and threw light on the life & teachings of the fifth Guru Guru Arjun Dev ji.

Meanwhile on the eve of Martyr's day of Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj an impressive Kirtan Darbar was organized at Gurudwara Baba Chanda Singh Ji, Jain Bazar, Jammu by the Management Committee Gurdwara Baba Chanda Singh Ji Jain Bazar Jammu which was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervor.
The Sangat from surrounding areas of Jammu city reached Gurudwara Sahib for listening the Kirtan Darbar. The Citizens from all walks also attended the kirtan Darbar. On the occasion the Guru ka langar and CHABIL (Cold Water) was distributed amongst the sangat. Moreover two stalls of langar and Cold Water (Chabil Water ) etc was also distributed among the public in general . In the programme sangat in one voice critized and condemned the Government for not issuing Restricted Holiday on the eve of Martyr's Day of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Jee despite the DGPC through Divisional Commissioners ha recommended to the GAD for declaring the holiday on 7th June as it was wrongly mentioned in Government holiday calendar on 16 th June 2018.
S.Amarjeet Singh Advisor of the committee also appealed the Government clear the stand whether they are ready to declare 18th June as Gazetted Holiday on the Parkash Parab of Sri Guru Hargobind Singh Jee.
