| Mission clean Chowgan: Army, youth actively participate | | |

Kishtwar, June 16: With an aim to make historic Chowgan ground Kishtwar clean today under "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" Indian Army and Youth of District Kishtwar took the noble initiative and conducted a massive cleanliness drive at Chowgan ground here.
The scores of Youth, elders and children actively participated in the cleanliness drive with great fervour and enthusiasm displaying a sense of commitment besides setting an example for the others. The youth appealed to the people of the Kishtwar for keeping their surroundings clean to nurture healthy life further they asked public not to throw disposal and polythene in historic chowgan ground and help to keep Chowgan clean and green.
"The process of cleanliness should not be restricted to this day only but we should make it a habit to keep surroundings clean and in future the drive would be extended to other destinations," youth added.
OC Helipad, 26 RR Major Digvijay Singh and his team were present throughout the drive and later motivated the Youth to spread awareness about the campaign for achieving desired results.
The participants thanked the Army, Municipality and PHE for their logistic support, brooms, hand gloves and other equipments, At conclusion Army provided refreshment among the participants. |
