Jammu, June 16: Working under the influence of her advisors, former Chief Minister and president of PDP, Mehbooba Mufti, indirectly defended those who supported Pakistan against India in the ongoing cricket world cup.
Instead of maintaining a distance on the sports event, Mehbooba, on the directions of her advisor, tweeted before India-Pakistan cricket match and indirectly endorsed those who support Pakistan.
"May the best team win in today's India vs Pakistan cricket match. Every individual has the right to cheer for whichever team they believe in. So let's be civil about it", she tweeted.
Importantly, no mainstream politician in the country or in the state has tweeted in such a way Mehbooba has done. Instead of supporting Indian team, Mehbooba played a balanced act to keep pro-Pakistani elements in a good humour.
Credible sources said through Indo-Pak cricket match, PDP president is trying to appease pro-Pakistani elements in the Valley to retrieve her lost ground in south Kashmir where people have rejected her in the recent Parliamentary elections.
