Sunderbani, June 16: Several acre area got destroyed in a fire broke out in Kalidhar forests yesterday. Due to fire forest produces and wild animals, birds burnt in the fire, it took the forest teams and people the whole night in controlled the fire in forest. Recently, in few days ago many incidents of forest fires have been reported from Kalal, Katav, Seri, Battal, Bindi Gala and Pukhrni areas of district Jammu and Rajouri. Since 14 June 2019 fire begun in Kalidhar forest fires incidents effectively and not save the forest. Forest Range officer Sunderbani Arif Mirza said from compartment number 124, 125 approx 15 acre forest burnt by fire. He said the team of forest under the supervision of Forest Conservator Rajouri Mohan Dass Division Forest Officer (DFO) Nowshera Suresh Munda along with forest range officer and all the fire watchers some villagers went to control the fire. |
