Akhnoor, June 23: The famous Kharah- Kesri title of Indian Style Wrestling was lifted by none other than Sadiq of Domains Akhara defeating his nearest rival in a straight competition admidst thousands of wrestling lovers here at Kharah- Akhnoor today. Suram Chand Sharma, a KAS officer was the chief Guest on the occasion who gave away the prizes to the winners & runners up. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sharma Lauded the efforts of the organising committee in holding such a mega wrestling championships peacefully & providing platform to the budding athletes in proving their worth. He also complemented the participants with brilliant success in future endeavours also. He appealed the youth to vigorously participate in games & develop a spirit of sportsmanship by involving themselves in various schemes of central as well as state government in promoting sports culture and chanelising their energy building a healthy nation.As many as bouts were played between various wrestlers & the organisers presented winning as well as consolidation prizes to all the participants. Among others, Tehsildar Kharah-Balli __, Inspector --------, prominent organising committee members Mr. Janak Raj, Mr. Chuni Lal Raina, Mr. Milkhi Ram, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Dina Nath, Capt. Romesh, Prithvi Ram, Chhotu Ram, Suram Lohar, Banarasi Dass, Rattan Lal, Master Des Raj, Mansa Ram, Faqir Chand, Tej Ram Girdawar, Gushan Ram, Tilak Raj Panch were present. |
