Natrang artist selected for Ustad Bismillah Khan Puraskar

Jammu, July 18: An artist of Natrang brought laurels for the state of Jammu and Kashmir for being selected for the award by Sangeet Natak Akademi's prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar in theatre acting.
This time it is Sunil Palwal, who has been selected for prestigious award in the field of Theatre acting. Natrang Director Balwant Thakur while complimenting Sunil Palwal said that "It's a proud moment for Natrang and all his fellow artists. This is not the first occasion when Sunil created history".
Sunil Kumar Palwal- a well known theatre actor was born on 22nd May, 1985 and started his theatre career in the year 2002 as a child actor with a Jammu based theatre group 'Natrang'.
Born and brought up in Jammu, he completed his graduation from GGM Science college before he get selected for one year diploma in Drama from Himachal Cultural Research Forum & Theatre Academy Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and FTII (2008) where he got an opportunity to work under numerous actors and directors like Naseeruddin Shah, Saurabh Shukla, Benjamin Gilani, Meeta Vasisht, Tom Alter, Rakesh Bedi, Arvind Pandey, Alok Chatterjee, Ashwath Bhatt and many more.
