DDC Ramban finalizes arrangements for I-Day celebration

Ramban Aug 8: District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan, today convened a meeting of officers and other stakeholders to finalize the arrangements for Independence Day celebration in the district.
ADDC Nawab Din, ACR, Harbans Lal, CPO, CEO,ACD,CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, PMGSY besides Police officers and all District and Sectoral officers, NGOs and school heads were attended the meeting.

It was informed that the main function would be held at District Police Lines Ramban where National flag will be unfurled followed by March past comprising the contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Forest Protection Forces, NCC and students.
DDC directed the Executive Engineer PWD to ensure maintenance of District Police Line ground, stage and other sitting arrangements. He asked the Executive Engineer PHE to ensure drinking water and barricading at venue besides Executive Engineer PDD was directed to ensure illumination of government buildings and official residents, uninterrupted power supply and generator set arrangements well in time.
DDC directed the officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements at the venue. He also directed Health department to ensure ambulance and Medicare at the venue on rehearsal and I-day.
CEO was directed to monitor rehearsal both parade and cultural programme of students whereas ARTO was directed to ensure transport for the participating students. Committees were directed to ensure foolproof arrangements including cultural programme monitoring and reception etc.
DDC directed the EO, Municipal Committee to maintain cleanliness in and around DPL. He further called for close coordination among the concerned departments for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Independence Day.
Police officers also briefed the DDC about security and traffic arrangements and assured foolproof arrangements during the I-Day celebration.
