As per the details available with Early Times, the people were allowed to offer the Eid Namaz at various mosques located in different localities of Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas at different times starting from 6:30 am to 10:30 am as the authorities for the first time in the history of Kishtwar district barred the people from offering Eid Namaz at Eidgah due to prevailing law and order situation in the Union Territory.
During the course of the Eid Namaz time period spread over almost 4 hours, elaborated security arrangements were put in place to thwart any untoward incident in the district.

The sources said that the miscreants are being identified and will be booked in accordance of the law.
Following the conclusion of Eid Namaz, strict curfew like restrictions were put in place as a result of which the life on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Azha comes to stand still, however some children were seen roaming in the town visiting to the choicest of relatives.
Several children claim that this time they were at loss as less or no Eidi (Money given to children as a part of Eid gift) due to non-availability of cash.
Meanwhile, many people continue to rush at private homes wherever they find landline number to establish contact with their near and dears.
Heavy rush was witnessed at the home of Randeep Bhandari in Ward No 5 of Kishtwar from where they established contact with their dear ones studying or living outside in connection with jobs.
Randeep Bhandari said that many people complained about non-availability of mobile calling services and once again urged the government to restore mobile calling services without any further delay.
Touseef Ahmed presently working in Netherlands informed the Early Times that he has not been able to contact his family and kids back at Kishtwar. He said that he is worried about the safety of his family since rumors are spreading thick and fast over the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile several people from Dool and its adjoining areas today celebrated the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Azha with the troops of 17 RR.
During the course of the Eid Milan programme, pleasantries were exchanged between the people and the army officials.
The army offered sweets and special food to the hundreds of people who participated in the programme organized by the 17 RR at its headquarter at Dool.
