Admin gears up as Ajit Doval wants hassle-free return of Hajjis to Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Aug 12: With the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is camping in Kashmir to ensure that situation returns to normal at an earliest and the common people don't face inconvenience during curbs, the administration has geared up for hassle-free return of Kashmiri Hajjis to their homeland after the pilgrimage.
Official sources said Ajit Doval has directed to the administration to ensure arrangements such that the pilgrims reach back their homes with all comfort.
It was reliably learnt that Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan and his counterpart from police Inspector General of Police, SP Pani held a joint meeting to evolve a strategy such that the pilgrims don't face any inconvenience to reach back homes.
Sources said the district administration has braced up to facilitate return of over 10,000 Hajjis, scheduled to return from this week.
With a clampdown on telecommunication services in the valley, the government is contemplating to offer phone connectivity for the Hajjis and their families through government offices including respective police stations.
Sources said the government has evolved a secure route plan for the all the Hajjis from various districts and that their nears and dears would be given a smooth travel.
Sources said the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir Baseer Khan and SP Pani held detailed deliberations to chalk out such a plan for "zero inconvenience."
Sources said concerned district commissioners have been directed to erect helpline stalls at the Srinagar airport for the convenience of the pilgrims and their families.
Officials said it was for the first time in the last over a decade that such arrangements have been put in place.
It is pertinent to mention that the NSA has been travelling across Kashmir by road and interacting with the common people to provide them better facilities during unusual situation in the valley.
