DDC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Janmashtami

Rajouri, August 16: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today convened a meeting of officers from various departments to review arrangements for forthcoming festival of Krishna Janmashtami.

The meeting had a detailed discussion on the arrangements to be put in place for celebration of the festival.

Representatives of Shree Mohan Sanatam Dharam Sabha and other religious organizations, who were also present in the meeting, informed that the ‘Shobha Yatra’ will be taken out on 23rd of August, 2019 from Snatam Dharam Sabha Ground and after passing through the main bazaar of Rajouri city, Div. Morh, would culminate at Old Bus stand, Rajouri.

They requested for uninterrupted power supply from 17th of August to 23rd of August, traffic management and ambulance en-route Yatra and water tanker facility near Div. Morh.

DDC directed the PDD and PHE authorities to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the Katha days and on the day of the Shoba Yatra while the Police Department was asked to deploy adequate number of police personnel en-route ‘Shoba Yatra’ and at Old Bus stand & Div. Morh. He asked the Traffic department to ensure proper traffic management to avoid Jamming during the yatra.

DDC asked the EO Municipal Committee to ensure cleanliness at all vital points of the Rajouri city, especially during yatra and ensure proper street lighting.

Health department informed that one ambulance will be made available en-route Yatra and one ambulance shall be stationed at Old Bus Stand. The Fire Services authorities were asked to remain vigilant to meet any eventuality.

TSO Rajouri and Assistant Controller Food Safety and standard, were directed to conduct the Market checking on 22nd of August, 2019 in Rajouri town to ensure proper quality and price, of fruits, vegetables and other essential commodities.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf, Additional Superintendent of Police Liaqat Choudhary, Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Sunil Sharma, Executive Engineer PHE, Sunil Koul, Executive Engineer PDD, Munshi Khan, AD Food Supply Mukhtar Ahmed lone, EO Municipality Rajouri and other officers and members of Shree Mohan Sanatam Dharam Sabha Rajouri.
