Kathua DLSA celebrates National Sports Day

KATHUA, Aug 29 : Under the able- aegis of Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kathua), Pawan Dev Kotwal "National Sports Day" was celebrated today here at Bal Ashram.
The main programme was organized by Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Aarti Mohan in collaboration with District Social Welfare Office & CTM Kathua.
Legal cum Probationary Officer, Surbhi Abrol, Childline Counselor, Sunakshi Sharma, Superintendent Nari Niketan, Mukhtiar Begum & Incharge Bal Ashram, Harbans Singh were present at the event.
The main objective of the programme was to aware the children about benefits of sports in their life. Secretary District Legal Services Authority inspired the children of Bal Ashram & Nari Niketan Kathua and emphasized that National Sports day was a red letter day in every child`s life and as sports are very important for their overall development.
Sports Kit and refreshment were also provided to the children of Bal Ashram and Nari Niketan by Aarti Mohan. Various sporting activities were held including flat race, Badminton, Volley Ball, high and long jump etc.
The participants display their ability through these sports and evoked the feeling of sportsmanship and unity in the hearts of everyone.
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Vishav Bandhu Sharma and Legal cum Probationary Officer, Surbhi Abrol also spoke on the occasion.
