JAMMU, Oct 1: The Jammu Citizens' Forum (JCF) has said that entire state administration is focusing on Kashmir for bringing investment from outside the State and abroad while Jammu has not remained its priority. In a meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of its president, RK Chadha, the members appealed to the State Governor, Satya Pal Malik to advise its administration that while preparing guidelines for the investors from rest of the country and abroad, it should prepare the guidelines for Jammu also.
Chadha said that the multinational companies which are willing to invest in Kashmir are welcome but the administration must also focus on Jammu region which is peaceful. He said the investors from Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and other places in the country are mainly interested to invest in Jammu region because of virgin industrial and tourism area. A high ranking officer of the Deush Bank (a German Bank) was here and informed that many investors of Delhi and Mumbai are interested to invest in Jammu and many of them have visited here to find out the facilities available but got no help or any information from Government or private sources.
