Traders, students organize road march to ban plastic

Jammu, Oct 1: To make people aware about the consequences of Single Use Plastic (SUP) and preservation of water resources, a march was taken out on roads of Janipur by hundreds of students and staff of Crescent Public School, Indra Public School and Divya Jyoti School and Janipur Traders Association which started from Lakkarmandi Chowk, Janipur and culminated at High Court Chowk.
The march was flagged off by Former Minister and Ex- MLA jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) who also participated in the march with the students. Sharma was also accompanied by Corporator Ward 35 Yash Pal Sharma (Mantoo), District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta, State Secretary BJP and Incharge Jammu West Praduman Singh, Principals and staff of the schools and members of Janipur Traders Association as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a well organized and an impressive march was taken out today by the schools of Janipur which showed that how much our youngsters are concerned about the mother nature and they also held placards in their hands which depicted the messages of "banning SUP" and "Save Water". He said bags made of cloth were also distributed amongst the people in the program and everyone was made aware by going door to door regarding the danger caused by Single Use Plastic on our environment.
Kuldeep Magotra, Sanjay Bhat, Sanket Sharma, Yash Pal Gupta, Umesh Bharghav, Sandesh Dogra, Master Joginder Pal Sharma, Uday chand, Charanjit Singh, Arun Bamzai, Narinder Sawhney and several others participated in the March organized by the school
