JAMMU, Oct 1: Three weeks long 43rd UGC General Orientation Course organized by UGC- HRDC, in Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu concluded today . The duration of the programme was 21 days ( September 11, 2019 to October 01, 2019). Thirty three Assistant Professors, Assistant Librarians, Librarians from colleges and Universities of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab attended the course during which forty seven resource persons delivered the lectures.
Prof Anil Kumar Raina, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, was the Chief Guest in the Valedictory function. He motivated the delegates for practically implementing the teachings during the course. He emphasized that the professionals must play a pro-active role in promoting reading habits, utilizing freely available online information/ knowledge resources available on internet by organizing awareness and orientation programmes for students and society at large.
