DI&PR Jammu conducts cleanliness drive in office complex

JAMMU, Oct 1: Joint Director Department of Information and Public Relation, Jammu, Naresh Kumar today launched cleanliness drive under "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign here the office complex of the department.
During the drive, Naresh Kumar stressed on the significance of cleanliness and hygiene in the human life and exhorted upon the staff members to adopt healthy habits for their own benefit.
He asserted on strict implementation of ban on use of polythene bags and proper disposal of both bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste.
He also stressed on cleanliness drives and asked to make all out efforts to encourage the other people to rid homes, offices and workplaces of single-use plastic.
It was informed that JMC has constituted different teams for collection of plastic wastes, which would dispose/recycle the plastic for further.
The significant amount of this plastic waste will be recycled and reused. Some of the waste collected will be put to use through various technologies for road construction and other resources.
Among others present were Deputy Director HQ Rehana Akhtar Bijli, Field Publicity Officer, Vipan Bhagat, Cultural Officer, Parul Khajuria and other staff members.
