| August 5th 2019 will be remembered for all times to come as a day when entire country was made into one entity with one constitution and one flag. This is the day when Sardar Patel's dream had been fulfilled and the soul of Shyama Prasad Mukerjee had finally rest in Peace. Though the article-370 was temporary and transitory, but had assumed the status of permanency and it was unimagined that any body could revoke it. This was the apprehension of each and every person that it can not be abrogated. Even in SC has also opined that it has assumed the status of permanency because it is there for decade now. But Narinder Modi has proved its mettle and it speaks of his clarity and commitment towards nation building to which it was a great hindrance.
For quite some time, there has been uproar in the Kashmir centric political circles about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A as their life time shop stands closed as on day. They would not have dreamt about the removal of these draconian articles, though article 370 was temporary and transient and Article 35A was clandestinely introduced in the constitution which was gender discriminatory. This is not for the first time that such instances have come, but in the present circumstances it was being used by the political parties for their vested interests. This article 370 had created a nation with in a nation, rather a theocratic nation within a secular country.
Till recently, nobody knew of article 35A but lately this article had turned into ghost and had replaced article 370. The Kashmir centric politics which is essentially a Muslim aligned like Huriyat had found a new tool to exploit the Muslims of Kashmir. Also the people had also understood the game plane of these so called mainstream and separatists who have used it for their personal gains. Take the example of Abdullah's who have been in power for the last three generations simply because of article 370. This game plan was hijacked by Muftis who also used it under different style of Self Rule. After NC and PDP the separatists have also realised that this article 370 which is just separatist in nature has been used by these mainstream political parties and did not wait long before joining this stream. These separatists also amazed enormous wealth because of article 370.
Article 35 A and 370 were tools in the hands of these Kashmir centric leaders who have nothing for the common masses except stone pelting, death and destruction , while as their own kith and kin are well settled in or outside state. The irony is that terrorist like Hafiz Sayed who exports terrorism from across the border needs Rs 1.5 lac for his family of 5 including his children but makes average Kashmiri boys to hold gun and plunges into fighting against Indian forces in the name of religion. State would accept any thing from the centre, if it would have benfited them in person but would oppose, if it benefited common masses and minority of state. If there would have any legislation for their own benefit they would immediately implement it. Take the case of change of term of legislation from 5 years to 6 years, it was made applicable but when it was reversed to 5 years through out country. State govt. did not implement. When the word "Secular" was incorporated in India Constitution, state did not implement in state constitution. When any scheme for minority was introduced at national level it was extended to J&K but the irony is that it is given to members of majority community of the state. When GST was made applicable it was again delayed for just the sake of opposition. The state government has also failed to address to the problems of west Pakistani refugees while as Rohingyas from Myanmar and Muslims from uzghir of Xinhua, China
The former Chief Ministers had earlier said that J&K, at the time of accession, being a Muslim majority state, took a different decision to join India, seeing that, there is a special position of J&K. But they both were lying because as such there was no such article. J&K became part of India on 27th Oct. 1947 by signing instrument of accession by the Maharaja Hari Singh, who was the sole authority for accessing into either domain because of the Independence Act. It is irony that those who are not the aborigines of Kashmir are becoming the sole custodians of the state and the real aborigines are living in exile as refugees in their own country.
The leadership at that type under sheikh Abdullah was not trusted by Pakistan and wanted to negotiate the Muslim conference. Had he favoured Pakistan the Abdullah's along with other Muftis and so called separatists and Hurriyat would not have been there. Kashmir based leadership whether mainstream or separatists had earlier brought to the notice of the Prime Minister the "sentiments" of the people of the state attached to the special position which was a blatant lie. Kashmir centric leadership cutting across party lines had made people to believe that it was sacrosanct that as if it will amount to act of blasphemy? The realty is that all the Kashmir centric leadership has exploited the Islam as religion for any issue and have linked these articles to a single faith. The significant thing in the whole issue is that it has become Sunni Islam vs. rest. Nobody from other than Islam had opposed its abrogation. All people belonging to a particular faith had objected its removal.
The fact of the matter was that both these articles were used to exploit and threat the Indian administration of dire consequences if any thing is done to these articles. Hallucinations were created that if any change or anything, even discussing these articles will end up cessions of J&K from rest of India. Such a hyper-issue was made of it. These people have established their shops /businesses on these articles. All these leaders and parties who oppose revocation of these articles, have now no issues before them to take on to masses. This anti-India attitude had been created by these mainstream and separatists because of these articles. Terrorists who would have been in jails and are now in jails were able to meet highest authority of India as if India was hostage to Kashmir. Yasin Malik who is a murderer is meeting Indian Prime Minister. He is a murderer of Indian air force officers and involved with the kidnapping of Rubiya Sayed, daughter of then Home Minister of India. It keeps their shops running. Hey were getting media coverage in preferred national television where hey would speak against India and Indians. To ensure the full and final integration of J&K with the rest of India, it was necessary for these Articles to go because these articles had created barriers which have given a sense of alienation to the people of J&K from rest of India.
Now with these Articles like 370 and 35A scrapped, holding of entire India hostage to J&K has ended with full and final integration of J&K with rest of India with one flag and one constitution. |
