Jammu, Oct 12: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here at Jagti Nagrota today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President, JTC/SKF (J&K). The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members. During the course of meeting several issues were raised and discussed in threadbare. The participants have expressed their dis-satisfaction over the present government which has put the masses under lockdown for past two month. Shadi Lal Pandita while addressing the participants has said that on abrogation of Art. 370 and 35A by the central Government most of the opposition leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have either been kept under House arrest or confined to Jails thereby giving a serious setback to the Democratic set up in the State of J&K. Shadi Lal Pandita has said that the present Government lead by Narendra Modi is working like British Rulers and implement their own agenda whether acceptable to the masses or not Pandita has said that Block Development Council elections have been announced at a stage when mostly the opposition party leaders are under house arrest, how the opposition parties and supposed to participate in these elections, this clearly shows the intentions of the present government to manage success of their party candidates in BDC elections up-opposed this too is serious setback of the Democracy. |
