Samba, Oct 29: Acting on specific information about gambling, a Police Party of PP SIDCO Samba arrested three gamblers and seized stake money from the spot.
According to sources, a Police Team headed by Incharge Police Post SIDCO Samba, SI Meenu Sharma raided the gambling spot at Industrial area Phase-I Samba and arrested three gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 6,955/- and playing Cards. The arrested persons have been identified as Sanjay Masih, Kaka and Vijay Kumar. Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at P/S Samba.
Meanwhile in another case, Police has arrested five gamblers under jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money of Rs 8,100/- from their possession. The gamblers have been identified as Kuma, Raju, Bhawani Din, Arvind Yadav and Nuni Lal. |
