Heavy deployment of Security forces in Jammu city creates 'panic' among masses

Jammu, Oct 29: With the heavy deployment of security forces in Jammu city ahead of implementation of J&K Reorganisation Act 2019, panic has been griped among the masses in Jammu city.
Sources informed Early Times, that the administration don't any kind of disturbance ahead of the implementation of J&K Reorganisation Act 2019, that read down the special status of the state, bifurcated the state into two Union Territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
"Like August 5, when the Union Government got the passed bills related to reorganisation of J&K, scraping Article 35A, and 370, security has been beefed-up to avoid any untoward incident and maintain law and order heavy deployment of security forces has been put in place", said a senior Police officer.
He said that the security around government buildings in Jammu city along with some sensitive places in Jammu has been beefed-up. "Though we are not aware about happening apparently like curfew, but it has been learnt broadband services in Jammu city for private consumers have been snapped, it is also being claimed unofficially, that mobile service in Jammu can also be stopped from tomorrow", said Sumit Sharma a local, adding that heavy deployment of security forces in their area has been made.
"Around the government quarters at various places in Jammu city security has been increased", he said, adding that the owners of private vehicles hired for children to send them school are in dilemma.
"Private vehicle, we have hired for our children, just rung up and informed me that tomorrow there will be curfew, it certainly creates curfew", said a lady, adding that however, there is no such news in television, but we fear repetition of situation arisen on August 5, 2019 when article 730 and 35A were abrogated by government of India.
The IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh when contacted he said that there is nothing to worry for the people.
"Security is being beefed up ahead of the annual darbar move, and there is nothing new, it is routine practice", he added.
