JAMMU, Oct 31: Special Judge Anti-Corruption (CBI Cases) Jammu Rajesh Sekri framed charges u/s 4-A and 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) of J&K PC Act Samvat 2006 against Ajay Kumar Gupta Station Superintendent, Northern Railways, Railway Station Jammu for allegedly demanding bribe of Rs 10,000 per month from one Ashwani Kumar for allowing him to smoothly run operation of his vehicle parking business.
Court after hearing both the sides observed that Ajay Kumar Gupta is guilty of harassing the complainant and demanding and accepting illegal gratification from him, by misusing his official position as a public servant.
Therefore, the official is alleged to have committed offences punishable under sections 4-A and 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) of J&K PC Act Samvat 2006 as Station Superintendent, Northern Railways, Railway Station Jammu Tawi (J&K) which are within the cognizance of this court. -JNF |
