Major goof up in oath taking ceremony of BDC chairpersons in Kishtwar

Jammu, Oct 31: In a major goof up during the oath taking ceremony of newly elected Block Development Councils at new DC office Complex today, the oath administrated by the District Panchayat Officer Kishtwar Anil Kumar Chandail to the newly elected BDC chairpersons was missing the important reference pertaining to the allegiance to the constitution of India was missing from Oath taken by BDC chairpersons, which is the basic violation of the constitution of the India required to be probed.
Similar reports are being received from other Districts of the newly created UTs where the reference was missing from the oath administrated to BDC chairpersons.
As per the details available with Early Times, DPO Kishtwar today administrated the oath to 13 newly elected BDC Chairperson's of District Kishtwar organized by District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj at new DC office complex which was attended by DC Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana senior officials including ADDC Kishtwar, Mohd. Hanief Malik, Joint Director Planning, Mohd. Iqbal, ACR Kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain, President Municipal Committe Kishtwar, Riyaz Ahmed Zargar, ASP Kishtwar Nasir Ahmed, BDO's and huge gathering of Sarpanches and panches were also present during the program.
When contacted the officials at the helm of the affairs told the Early Times that the oath format was per the Government notification forwarded by the office of the Secretary RDD that has no mention pertaining to the sentence that "I will bear faith and allegiance to the constitution of India" which was Omitted from the oath under- taken by the BDC Chairpersons in Kishtwar today.

cials said that they followed what was instructed to them by the Department and practice the same.
Speaking to Early Times, DPO Doda Idress Lone said that they too follow the same prescribed Oath format however he did not confirm or denied whether the reference pertaining to the allegiance to the constitution of India was mentioned in the oath or not added that he was not in office and can only confirm the exact language of the oath format only in the morning.
DPO Ramban Sunil Kumar Butiyal said that the reference was very much present in the oath format administrated to the newly elected BDC chairpersons.
In another goofup only one BDC chairpersons of block Nagsini resign as per the prescribed rules before administrating the oath to BDCs in Kishtwar District while the other did not.
Speaking to Early Times, a senior RDD offical said that once the BDC chairpersons take the oath-- they are deemed to be treated as resigned from the post of Panch or Sarpanch.
Meanwhile DC Kishtwar while interacting with newly elected BDC Chairpersons and PRIs members congratulated them
for their whole hearted participation in the BDC elections which were held for the first time in J&K.
DDC assured every possible support of administration to the Chairperson's, PRI members and asked them to strive and work hard with other departments for the common masses at grassroot level in field of development and implementation of government schemes.
ADDC Kishtwar congratulated the Chairperson's on being elected as representatives of their respective blocks and asked them to fulfill the developmental aspirations of common people with grit and determination.
The whole programme at Kishtwar was co-ordinated by BDO Bounjwah Din Mohd Afaqi.
